Wearable weights in soft silicone, against your skin instead of neoprene or webbing. One pound on each wrist or ankle, so your walk, your class and your housework all work a little harder, and your hands stay free.

Colour: Pink

A pair is two bands, one for each wrist or ankle. Two pairs covers both at once.

30 day guarantee. Free returns.

Before you buy, the three things people ask

We would rather answer these now than take an order that comes back.

How heavy are they?

1 lb a band, 2 lb the pair

Not two pounds each. The load is fixed: the strap adjusts, the weight does not.

Will they fit me?

Most wrists and ankles

29 cm laid flat, and it closes anywhere under that. A very slim wrist is the limit.

Will the fastening hold?

Yes, for everyday wear

Sweat and hot classes soften the hook and loop sooner.

Weights only work if you put them on.

Adding load to movement you already do is the oldest idea in training. The catch was never whether it works. It is whether you will actually put them on.

Most ankle weights are a neoprene brick with a strap. You buy them, you use them twice, and then they live under the bed.

It is not that they do not work. It is that putting them on feels like getting equipment out, and the whole point was to make the hour you were already having count for a bit more.

"Ankle weights always looked so dorky."

Looks good. Adds resistance.

Eight plates of soft silicone on a flat black band, in one colour, with nothing printed on it. It sits closer to a cuff than to gym kit, which is the difference between wearing it round the house and not bothering.

Why it looks like that: the weight is sealed inside the silicone, so there is no buckle, no ring and no exposed metal.

"How does a row of solid plates go round a wrist?"

Moves with your wrist, not against it.

The plates are not one bar. Each is a wedge, and they alternate, so the outside of the bend opens and the inside closes. That is the whole reason a rigid material can wrap a moving joint without gapping.

Why it wraps: eight alternating plates on a woven elastic strap, so the band curves rather than hinging.

A woman in her late sixties doing a seated leg lift from a dining chair, a band on each ankle

"Do I have to buy a separate pair for my ankles?"

Ankles today. Wrists tomorrow. Same pair.

Wear the pair on your ankles for leg work, or on your wrists for arms. Same two bands either way. If you want both at once that is four bands, not a different product.

Why it fits both: a 29 cm band with hook and loop the whole way along, so it closes at any circumference under that.

"I do not do Pilates."

Walk the dog, do the dishes, take the class. It all counts for more.

A walk, a class, a lap of the pool, leg lifts from a chair. One pound on each limb asks a little more of whatever you were doing anyway. It does not need a mat, it does not need a plan, and it does not need you on your feet.

Why it carries over: the load is on the limb, not in the hand, so the movement can be anything.

A pair of the bands, one wrapped into a cuff and one laid out straight, showing the plates, the elastic between them and the hook and loop tail
  1. Soft silicone plate, matte, nothing printed on it. The stainless steel weight is sealed inside.
  2. Woven elastic threaded through a slot in every plate, so you can slide them together or apart.
  3. The hook and loop tail overlaps once and lies flat between two plates.

Wrap & Go.

There is nothing to assemble and nothing to adjust. Putting them on should take less thought than finding your shoes.

Wrap

Lay the band round your wrist or your ankle with the plates facing out, and press the tail flat onto itself. Snug enough that it does not travel, loose enough that you are not aware of it.

Go

Do the thing you were going to do anyway. Most people forget they have them on, which is the point.

Why not just hold a dumbbell?

Questions people ask

Is it 2 lb per band or 2 lb for the pair?

2 lb for the pair. Each band is 1 lb.

Will the hook and loop keep holding?

It holds at first and softens over time. You notice it as the band creeping round your wrist, then as a weight working loose mid workout. Sweat and heat speed that up, so hot classes wear it fastest.

Will they fit my wrist?

Most, yes. The band is 29 cm laid flat and closes at anything under that. A very slim wrist is the limit: the band is one length, so on a small wrist there is spare strap left over and it can slide down.

Are these suitable for older adults?

Yes, and they work sitting down. On the ankles they add load to leg lifts, marches and knee extensions from a chair. Two limits first: a very slim wrist or ankle leaves spare strap and can let the band slide, and the fastening needs a pinch and a firm pull to close.

Are the measurements exact?

Each band is measured and filled by hand, so length varies by 1 to 2 cm / 0.4 to 0.8 in and weight by 0.01 to 0.03 kg / 0.02 to 0.06 lb.

Will the colour match the photographs?

Close, not exact. Colour reads differently on every screen, so take the pictures as a guide rather than a match.

Can I swim in them?

Yes. The plates are sealed silicone. The hook and loop softens faster wet than dry, so rinse them in fresh water and dry them flat afterwards.

Do they smell when they arrive?

They can for the first few days, from being shipped sealed in plastic. Air them for two or three days and it goes. If it does not, tell us and we will refund you.

How do I clean them?

Wipe them with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let them dry fully before the next wear. Do not put them in a washing machine or a tumble dryer.
